I just toured our Resveratrol manufacturing plant and saw the process used by Vinomis for Vindure 900. Here are the steps taking to get the concentration and purity in Resveratrol.

1. Take polygonum cuspidatum (Japanese Knot Weed) and de-leaf, de-stem, etc. This is done at the source.

2. Extract using Water and Ethanol by “soaking” the leaves in the liquid in the manufacturing plant. The trans-resveratrol then gets absorbed into the liquid This will get you to some purity level (not sufficient – yet most companies stop at this step)

3. Concentrate the liquid, remove Ethanol, etc.

4. KEY STEP Purify using column purification system. This step is expensive, which is why most manufacturers don’t do it.

5. Keep repeating step #3 until the 98% purity is achieved

6. Spray dry to remove the liquid and turn into a powder, then granulate to remove the air
