As the story unfolds in Japan, many people are asking if there are any simple steps that can be taken to protect against the ill effects of elevated radiation exposure. In California, there has been a run on iodine tablets to protect the thyroid, but these can have negative side effects as well. One potential protective agent, Resveratrol, has been shown in several studies to have radiation-protective effects with no negative side effect. In fact, Resveratrol in general, and Vindure 900 in particular can help increase energy and stamina, and support long term cardiovascular and cellular health!

In a 2008 Colorado State University study on mice, scientists found that orally administered Resveratrol reduced the frequencies of chromosome aberrations in irradiated mice. At about the same time, researchers from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center reported at the annual meeting of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, that acetylated Resveratrol reduced mitochondrial damage from radiation.

Since June, 2009, Vinomis Laboratories has been supplying thousands of customers with Vindure 900 to provide improved energy and stamina, improve longevity, and support healthy cardiovascular function. Vindure 900 contains 400mg of pure trans-Resveratrol, and in light of the current situation, there may be more reason than ever to take Vindure.

Both Biotiva Transmax and Vindure 900 from Vinomis Laboratories are quality Resveratrol products.

Both Biotiva Transmax and Vindure 900 from Vinomis Laboratories are quality Resveratrol products.

So what’s the difference?

1. Amount of Resveratrol

Boitivia Transmax = 500 mg of 98% pure Resveratrol, total active ingredients = 500 mg

Vindure 900 = 400 mg of 98% pure Resveratrol, total active ingredients = 900 mg

**Numerous studies have placed the recommended human Resveratrol dosage in the 400 – 500 mg per day range. So both products provide good quantity, and good quality. Vindure 900 has almost twice the total amount of active ingredients.

2. Red Wine Grape Extract

Biotivia Transmax = None

Vindure 900 = 400 mg with 90% polyphenols

**Why? Harvard scientists discovered that 17 different polyphenols, all found in Red Wine Grapes, product positive health effects. Resveratrol was #1, but the others were equally important. Vindure 900 contains all 17 of these polyphenols. Scientist have also proved that the different polyphenols interact together to provide health benefits.

3. Bioavailability

Biotivia Transmax = No Quercetin

Vindure 900 = 100 mg Quercetin

**Quercetin has been found, in numerous studies, to increase the “bioavailability” of Resveratrol — which is the amount of time in the blood stream.

4. Price

Biotivia Transmax = $74.95 for 2-month supply = $37.50 per month

Vindure 900 = $39.95 per month or $33.33 per month on 3-month re-order program

**Prices are about the same.

Resveratrol, Sex Drive, and Sex Hormones in Men

The key to understanding the affects of Resveratrol on sex drive lies in the understanding of the sex hormones estrogen and testosterone. While testosterone hormones are associated with men, and estrogen with women, both men and women have levels of testosterone and estrogen in their bodies, albeit in different quantities.

Sex hormones are involved in sexual drive (or libido), and maintenance and repair of reproductive tissues. They are also involved in body growth, body tissue, body mass, and bone mass.

Testosterone in men is highest in their teenage years, and gradually decreases over time. What is not generally understood, is that an increase in estrogen can also occur over a man’s lifetime, which further contributes to a decrease in testosterone. This phase in a man’s life is sometimes referred to as “male menopause.”

Decreased levels of testosterone, and increased levels of estrogen, can lead to numerous problems including reduced muscle mass, decreased strength, increased body fat storage, fatigue, erectile dysfunction and, of course, reduced sex drive. These hormonal changes have also been linked to prostate cancer and heart disease.

Decreasing estrogen levels can lead directly to an increase in testosterone levels. Here’s where Resveratrol enters the picture. Resveratrol has been scientifically shown to act as an anti-estrogen (antagonist) lowering estrogen levels in men, and may even block excess testosterone from turning into estrogen. The result – improved muscle, mass, strength, less body fat, and of course an increase in sex drive.

Resveratrol, the polyphenolic compound found in red wine and the prominent focus of medical researchers, may be able to fight off viruses, according to a new Italian study. While the chemical has shown hints of anti-viral properties in previous studies, the new work shows that it appears to prevent virus replication at the cellular level. More research is needed to see how widespread the effect is.

Viruses, from the common cold to polio and the H1N1 “swine flu,” are infectious agents that can only reproduce inside the cells of a host, inserting their genetic material into the cells. The new study, published in the July issue of the Journal of Experimental & Clinical Cancer Research, finds that the polyomavirus is unable to hijack a cell for this purpose if resveratrol is around.

Vinomis Reports Customer Testimonials for Vindure 900 with Resveratrol, Red Wine Grape Extracts, and Quercetin

Customers report increased energy, endurance, mood, lower blood pressure, lower sugar levels, and weight loss.

Pittsburgh, PA – September 21, 2009 – Vinomis customers have been taking its Vindure 900 product since May 2009. Vindure 900 contains a highly-concentrated blend of 400 mg of 98% pure Resveratrol, 400 mg of Vinomis™ Red Wine Grape extract (90% polyphenols), and 100 mg of Quercetin.

Customers have been commenting on Vinomis’ blogs, forums, via telephone, and in-person from real-world people who have taken Vindure 900. While these testimonials are not scientific in the sense of including medically approved studies, advanced statistical analysis, in-depth blood analysis, etc., they are nonetheless important and relevant to the overall scientific body-of-knowledge about Resveratrol, Quercetin and red wine grape extracts. Below are some of the testimonials reported by people taking Vindure 900.

These anecdotal testimonials are all in the words of the consumers themselves. What is most important is the similarity and consistency of results reported after taking the Vindure 900 supplements for 2-to-6 weeks. In addition, these results are consistent with the human trials, and biological laboratory analysis in human cells and animal studies. Multiple consumers have reported the following:

- Increased endurance

- Increased energy level

- Elevated mood

- Weight loss

- Lower blood pressure

- Lower blood sugar levels

“My recovery rate is surprising everyone.” – Lynn G., Mammoth Lakes, CA

“Four weeks ago, I had a lung removed at Stanford Medical Center. Coming back up to 8000 feet from sea level always makes breathing more difficult, but with one lung, it’s a lot worse. Since starting on Vindure a few weeks ago, my strength has increased remarkably, and my recovery rate is surprising everyone. I’m now out walking again, and hope to resume hiking in the Sierras soon.”

“My wife said to me – what’s with you?” – Harvey K., Atlanta, GA

“After 30 days on Vindure, I am full of energy, and waking up an hour earlier. That extra hour a day of activity has translated to an 8 lb. weight loss. This stuff really works! I’m having my blood work done next month and looking forward to the results.”

“My blood pressure and blood sugar are finally under control.” – Amon T., Washington, PA

“My doctor recommended Vindure 900. After one month, my blood pressure and sugar are finally under control.”

“Vindure has nearly doubled my endurance.” – Brian D., Waynesburg, PA

“I am a 45 year old Triathlete, and alternate my training between biking, swimming, and running. In April, I participated in a 48 mile bike race. By the end of the race, I was suffering from severe cramping and muscle lock up. In May, I began taking Vindure, and after only three weeks, the results I experienced were remarkable. While biking, my heart rate is lower, the cramps have nearly disappeared, and my recovery time is faster. In June, I participated in the MS150 event, and cycled 88 miles, the farthest I have ever achieved. I experienced virtually no cramping despite going twice as far, and my recovery time was dramatically reduced. I heartily recommend Vindure to every athlete!”

“I’ve lost 12 lbs in 3-1/2 Weeks.” – Ed Z. – Clarksville, PA

“I started taking Vindure about 3-1/2 weeks ago, and I’m down 12 lbs. I have found that as long as I don’t eat out of habit, and only eat when I’m hungry, I will continue to shed pounds, and Vindure has definitely reduced my appetite. My energy level is up, too!”

“So far I’ve lost 7 lbs in just 4 weeks, I’m happy with that.” – Marci S. – Washington, PA

I started Weight Watchers (WW) a month ago. I’ve been taking Vindure 900 for two months. I’m following WW by the letter which I’ve not been able to do in the past due to hunger issues. My appetite has always been an issue w/my weight increases and decreases. I’ve been able to control my eating because the Vindure 900 is decreasing that “have to eat” feeling I get.

“I as well have been taking Vinomis for about three weeks now – I cannot imagine never not taking it again.” – Tao – New York.

I have more energy, I feel that I have lost a little weight and excited about loosing more. However the best benefit is that I suffer form low-blood sugar and when I don’t have time to eat – my blood sugar plummets. These episodes would happen a few times a week as well as I would have to be aware of eating and drinking the right things to avoid the issues. For three weeks, since I have been taking the Vinomis – not one low blood sugar episode!

Vindure is available through the company’s website at www.vinomis.com, and through a network of medical professionals who are recommending Vindure to patients.

Drink wine, eat dark chocolate, sip green tea, eat an apple a day, take concentrated grape skin product or resveratrol supplement from a reputable company [such as Vinomis], and pursue balance in one’s daily diet and life.”

There are many lists on the Internet of foods and drinks rich in Resveratrol and Polyphenols, which increase Sirtuin gene activity. Here is a partial list of the best foods:

Red Wine

Red/Black Grapes

Eggplant

Cherries

Blueberries

Dark Chocolate (70%+ cocoa)

Green Tea

Pomegranate

Cranberry

Coffee Bean

Strawberries

Juices from the Fruits listed above

Note that all are also rich in Antioxidants.

When polyphenols including Resveratrol are concentrated into a daily tablet equivalent to over 100 Bottles of red wine, there is one initial question: Is It Safe?

Indeed, scientists who study these nutraceutical supplements have and are continuing to use similar techniques to those used in the pharmaceutical industry to evaluate their potential health benefits and safety.

In 2002, the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences commissioned a report entitled, “Trans-resveratrol Review of Toxicological Literature.” This included a review of more than 200 referenced scientific studies which reported no adverse effects from Resveratrol. Animal studies have used the human-equivalent of over 5,000 mg of Resveratrol, and have shown no toxic effects. These animal studies use Resveratrol concentrations that are often 10 – 100 times the maximum concentrations observed in humans after oral dosage.

Human studies also confirm the safety of Resveratrol in highly concentrated forms. Studies including those at Marywood University, University of Leicester (UK) and University of Michigan, all found no significant side effects and no evidence of toxicity.

Resveratrol supplements have been on the market for more than 6 years, and numerous patients, companies and doctors have reported their safety.

Vindure 900 contains over 400 mg of 98% pure Resveratrol plus 500 mg of Red Wine grape extracts and Quercetin. CLICK HERE to purchase Vindure 900.

There are numerous websites that state that there have been no human clinical trials with Resveratrol, red wine grape polyphenols, etc. This is simply false information. There are many human clinical trials that have published results, and hundreds more under development, and in various stages of scientific research.

Read about many other Human Clinical Trials — click here

One such study was performed in 2006 by Dr. James Smoliga of Marywood University. His 90 target subjects were given a polyphenol blend of 400 mg Resveratrol dosage, 400 mg Red Wine Grape extract, and 100 mg Quercetin. [This is the identical blend as in Vindure 900 from Vinomis]

The link below is to a medical presentation given by Dr. Smoliga at the American Association of Anti Aging Conference, Orlando, FL. April 25-27, 2008: Smoliga J. M. Evaluation of Resveratrol and Other Grape Skin Polyphenols in Human Clinical Trails. 16th Annual World Congress on Anti-Aging Medicine.

Dr. Smoliga’s results show an increase in human endurance, performance, strength and verbal memory in the subject patients.

Dr. Smoliga is conducting ongoing research at Marywood University on Resveratrol and Red Wine Grape extracts.
