Balanced Diet

It’s not a new idea to recommend that people eat a balanced diet. We have all been taught this, though less and less people follow this rule. So what’s a balanced diet that adheres to the belief and science associated with polyphenols, Resveratrol, Quercetin, etc.

1. Fruits and vegetables — about 80% of diet

2. Protein — fish, soy, beans, are the best versus animal meats

3. Fats — it’s good for you if you eat the right kinds of (unsaturated) fats from fish, fish oils, avocados, and olive oil

4. Complex carbohydrates — fruits, whole-grain breads and pastas

5. Fiber — whole grains, leafy green vegetables, beans, and fruits

6. Red Wine

7. Green tea

8. Resveratrol, Quercetin and Red Wine Grape extract supplements (of course)
