Longevity
The average life expectancy of an American is currently 78 years old, which is high, yet not as high as life expectancy in 40 other countries. But the natural limit of the life span may be significantly hight based upon scientific research in the area of longevity.
Virtually every day we here of another person on TV, in a newspaper article, or a friend or their parents living to 90, 95, 100 and beyond. Many anti-aging scientists believe it may be possible to consistently extend and prolong not only lifespan, but a happy, healthy life.
It is a fact that humankind has seen an increase in life span of about 3 months every year since the mid 19th century! That means that for every 20 years in time, life span increases by 2.5 years. That means that our grandkids will live about 10 – 15 years longer than we do.
This phenomenon can be attributed to many things including food supply, nutrition, medicine, immunizations, antibiotics, etc.
A broad range of natural substances has already, and is destined to continue to increase our healthy life times. Scientist from Harvard University have discovered a range of Polyphenols, virtually all of which that are contained in Red Wine Grapes, that naturally prolong life, and reduce the incidence and can even cure age-related diseases. Resveratrol is only one of these polyphenols. And many others like Quercetin, Flavanols, etc. work in concert to achieve these scientific and medical results.
