The big question: Is it possible for us
to increase our healthy years of life?
During the last decade, there have been major research breakthroughs which indicate that the answer is yes. It has been known for a long time that a near-starvation diet (euphemistically called "CR" or "Calorie Restriction") can increase the life span of most species - from yeasts to humans - by 30-90%. But most people are unable or unwilling to voluntarily live their lives that way. Intensive research into the causes of this phenomenon has shown that calorie-restricted diets actually help switch off one of the biological mechanisms that is responsible for aging, by activating the
body's SIRT-1 enzyme.
A team of researchers at Harvard Medical School discovered that this same activation could be accomplished with various chemical compounds, one of which, Resveratrol, is found in very high concentration in several varieties of red wine grapes, and in the root of polyganum cuspidatum, the Giant Knotweed plant. Plants produce this compound to protect themselves in response to environmental stresses such as dry or cold conditions, and fungal attacks. The researchers also discovered that these protective benefits could be passed along to people or animals that eat the plants or fruit through a process called Xenohormesis. The Harvard team was awarded several patents related to the technology they developed for the extraction, concentration, and testing of these compounds.

Could it be possible that
Resveratrol (along with over 500 other anti-oxidant
polyphenols)
found in Red Wine could be the cause of the "French Paradox?" The French eat a diet that is nearly as high in calories as Americans, but with significantly higher saturated fat content. Yet 50% more people in France live to age 100 than in America, and the rates of heart disease, diabetes, and other age related diseases are significantly lower. Could it be that their red wine consumption, which is nearly seven times that of America is responsible? The research indicates that, indeed, it is.
Vinomis(tm) is proud to offer you our Vindure(tm) supplement, designed to promote a longer, healthier life. We have combined our Vinomis Extract(tm) made from selected grapes in Bordeaux, France, combined with pure
Resveratrol and
Quercetin, another
polyphenol which improves the bioavailability of the
Resveratrol. Each Vindure tablet contains the polyphenol power of over 100 bottles
of red wine. Our panel of distinguished medical advisors, led by Dr. Joe Maroon, author of "The Longevity Factor" and team neurosurgeon for
the World Champion Pittsburgh Steelers, believes that this powerful combination can give us the health and longevity benefits previously
available only by near-starvation dieting. Together with a sensible diet, and other recommendations that you can find on this website and
in Dr. Maroon's book, you too may be able to prolong your healthy years of life.
